Poland invokes NATO’s Article 4 in response to drone incursion
Poland has triggered NATO’s Article 4 after a wave of suspected Russian drones violated its airspace.
The security alliance must now consider what kind of deterrence it could mount in response to the threat along Poland’s eastern border.
Russia’s defence ministry says drones were aimed at military facilities in western Ukraine, and it had not planned to hit any targets in Poland.
