Workers’ Day | Call for unity within tripartite alliance

COSATU has called for unity within the tripartite alliance, adding that workers should not be divided over politics. First Deputy President of COSATU, Michael Shingange says workers are the most affected by the squabbles between the alliance partners. Shingange delivered a keynote address at the Workers’ Day rally at the Bultfontein stadium in the Free State. He called on government to prioritise workers’ struggles including the high taxes on two-pot claims, high petrol prices and low wages.
