Pauline Hanson reveals policy talks with Gina Rinehart
Pauline Hanson has spoken with SBS Chief Political Correspondent Anna Henderson in a wide-ranging interview following the federal government’s 2026/27 budget announcement.
The One Nation leader discussed property taxes, migration, racism, the Muslim community, Gina Rinehart’s plane donation, and her ambitions for the party following One Nation’s strong recent electoral results.
The party secured its first-ever federal lower house seat in the southern NSW electorate of Farrer this month, ending a 77-year hold by the Coalition. The result follows One Nation gaining seven seats in the recent South Australian election.
Asked whether she hopes to become prime minister, Hanson told SBS News: “We’re still two years outside the election, and I’m not going to call that now.”
