‘Freedom of speech is in critical condition’: Starmer blasted over rally speaker bans

UK Barrister and Broadcaster Andrew Eborn warns free speech in the United Kingdom is under threat after speakers were banned from a major anti-migration rally.

Huge numbers marched against mass immigration and against the leftist government of Keir Starmer at the Unite the Kingdom rally over the weekend.

“Keir Starmer, you will remember, he went to the Oval Office, he met with Trump, and reassured Trump in February 2025 that freedom of speech is alive and well in the UK. I can tell you it’s in a critical condition,” Mr Eborn told Sky News host Rita Panhi.

“He [Keir Starmer] actually banned a number of the speakers who were going to be coming over here … his justification was that they were going to be extremist views, so on and so forth.

“What happens is they shut down debate by labelling it far right.”
