Albanese asked about JobSeeker increases and Australia’s poorest after budget drop
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was questioned about the potential to see JobSeeker raised in next year’s budget. It comes after the government held the payment rate at around $808 a fortnight in the budget unveiled yesterday.
Albanese was asked if the $250 tax rebate for workers was missing Australia’s poorest. He responded by saying that his government’s commitments, such as free TAFE, are already addressing the poorest in Australia and he was not going to focus on next year’s budget.
