Israeli airstrikes kill at least 39 people across Lebanon
At least 39 people have been killed, including children, by Israeli strikes across Lebanon over the weekend, according to the health ministry.
Israel issued forced evacuation orders for nine towns in southern Lebanon, then carried out strikes.
The Israeli Defence Force said it had been targeting Hezbollah and was ‘aware of reports regarding harm to uninvolved civilians’ in the structures being targeted.
A drone attack was launched by Hezbollah targeting northern Israel, which Israeli military say wounded three soldiers.
There has never been a prolonged halt to the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, and both are accusing each other of violating the US-brokered ceasefire which was imposed on 16 April.
