Media mogul Antony Catalano excused from court appearance | 7NEWS
Media mogul Antony Catalano has been excused from attending court in person, with his lawyers citing concerns about press scrutiny affecting his mental health. The 59-year-old is charged with assault, false imprisonment and making threats to kill after allegedly assaulting his wife Stephanie in March at their penthouse apartment, dragging her by her hair and ankles and brandishing a clothes iron in her face, resulting in her hospitalisation with a fractured tailbone. Catalano’s defence lawyer told the court he admits he was on pharmaceutical substances at the time and is remorseful, having completed a stint in rehab, with his next hearing scheduled for June.
