Pop superstar Taylor Swift is moving to protect her voice and image, filing new US trademarks to guard against AI deepfakes.

The move follows a wave of digital impersonations – and a similar push by actor Matthew McConaughey – as celebrities look for new ways to stay ahead of exploitation.
