Zuma, Thales trial ordered to proceed
Former President, Jacob Zuma, and French arms company, Thales, have suffered a legal setback, after the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg dismissed their application.
Judge Nkosinathi Chili ruled in favour of the state, and ordered that the arms deal trial to proceed despite pending interlocutory applications.
The move follows the state’s so called ‘Stop Stalingrad’ applications wherein it sought to have the trial proceed regardless of any further applications, or appeals by the defense.
