Zelenskyy criticises ‘lost’ European leaders trying to convince Trump to ‘change’
In case you missed it, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has criticised the way European leaders had responded to US President Donald Trump’s bid for Greenland, saying “instead of taking the lead in defending freedom worldwide … Europe looks lost, trying to convince the US president to change”.
“It seems like everyone is just waiting for America to cool down on this topic, hoping it will pass away,” he said.
Trump “will not change”, Zelenskyy said, adding that Europe needs to work out how to defend itself or risk not being taken seriously.
