Yemen’s Houthis claim major strike on Saudi-backed forces

Yemen’s Houthis claimed responsibility for a large-scale missile and drone attack against what they described as Saudi-backed military mobilisations in eastern Yemen on Aug 6, saying the strikes killed and wounded hundreds of fighters and destroyed military camps and equipment.

Saudi Arabia expects imminent coordinated attacks from Iraqi militias north of the Gulf state and from Yemen’s Houthis from the south under the supervision of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to a senior Saudi official.
