World’s oldest shipwreck discovered off the coast of Türkiye | ABC NEWS

The “world’s oldest known” shipwreck has been discovered off Kekova Island in southern Türkiye. Australian archaeologist Karin Sowada led the team examining the ceramics from the wreck.
She explains how studying the ceramic artefacts helped determine the age of the vessel, which is believed to be around 4,500 years old. The huge jars helped identify a missing link in the ancient East-West trade route.
