World Humanitarian Day | UN worried about attacks on aid workers
On World Humanitarian Day on Wednesday, the United Nations is warning that aid workers are facing record levels of violence, with more than 900 killed, injured or kidnapped worldwide last year.
350 aid workers were killed in 2025, while 322 were injured and 235 kidnapped.
According to a statement from the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Gaza remained the deadliest place for humanitarian workers for a third consecutive year, with 186 killed, followed by Sudan with seventy-one.
