Woman Rescued From Rubble After 7.4-Magnitude Earthquake in Colombia
Rescue teams pulled a woman alive from a collapsed structure near the Catholic University in Manizales, Colombia, following a magnitude 7.4 earthquake. Colombia’s Defense Ministry released footage showing rescuers carrying the injured woman to an ambulance as emergency crews responded across several departments. At least 111 people were killed and 87 injured, while the quake damaged or destroyed homes, buildings, health and educational facilities, and roads. The Colombian government declared a national disaster to coordinate the emergency response.
