Will Europe run out of diesel and gasoline? | Wojciech Wrochna

How are Poland and Europe coping with the crisis triggered by the war in Iran? “I think Poland is in a relatively good situation compared to other EU member states,” said Wojciech Wrochna, Poland’s Deputy Minister of Energy, speaking on World Talks.

In his view, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz must be closely monitored and preparations should be made for worst‑case scenarios – especially given that Europe lacks sufficient reserves to offset potential diesel fuel shortages.

The situation is equally challenging in the aviation sector, which is currently facing serious supply constraints as well. The conversation also addressed Poland’s nuclear power projects, including the current status of the project and the progress made so far.
