‘We knocked the hell out of them’: Trump on latest naval confrontation between US and Iran
US President Donald Trump details the latest in the Iranian conflict as US Navy destroyers fire at Iran’s small boats.
“We are negotiating with the Iranians, you probably heard, we took our three destroyers, and we rammed them through, some pretty big stuff today,” Mr Trump said.
“We knocked the hell out of them, and the destroyers weren’t hurt in any way.
“They were firing at us, and we were firing back at them, and our firepower was a hell of a lot stronger than theirs.”
