Vessel capsizes, killing mother and baby in NY Harbor
A 27-year-old woman and a 5-month-old girl were killed after a vessel overturned in the New York Harbor near the Statue of Liberty Saturday night, according to police. The captain of the boat has been arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, the NYPD said. The US Coast Guard is investigating the cause of the boat’s capsizing.
