Vehicles registered in other countries will now be declared to SARS

The South African Revenue Service will from Monday implement legislation requiring all foreign-registered motor vehicles entering South Africa, to be declared for temporary importation.

Previously, all vehicles registered in Lesotho and other Southern African Customs Union (SACU) member-states enjoyed free movement.

The new regulations have been met with mixed feelings, panic and congestion as many rush to beat the June deadline.
