US President Trump denies talks with Iran and lays claim to Strait of Hormuz | BBC News
US President Donald Trump said there are no talks taking place or planned between the US and Iran, after the Memorandum of Understanding came to an end.
Trump also posted a map labelling the Strait of Hormuz as a “new US territory”, which Iranian officials have called a “delusion”.
One person has been killed in a strike on a vessel in the Strait, which as at the centre of efforts to end the war.
And we consider the environmental impacts of oil spills in the Gulf, which Iran has blamed on US military operations.
