Unexploded munitions hamper Germany wildfire response | DW News


German authorities have evacuated around 2,000 people from their homes in the west of the country after a wildfire near the Belgian border spread. The area is strewn with unexploded munitions from World War II that officials say are at risk of exploding, aiding the fire’s spread and potentially endangering emergency services.
