Underground drilling works suspected as cause of Wangsa Maju sinkhole


A sinkhole measuring roughly four metres in length, width, and depth has opened up on Jalan Wangsa Delima 4 in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) believes underground utility works using horizontal directional drilling (HDD) may have struck a sump wall inside the area’s main drainage system, causing it to crack and allowing water to erode the soil below.
