Ukraine’s Neptune missiles strike six Russian bomber jets | Ukraine Brief
In a brazen daytime attack on Thursday, Russian forces struck a grocery store in Ukraine’s southern Odesa region. Preliminary information suggests that four people were injured. The Odesa attack follows a restless night for Ukraine, with Russian strikes on civilian areas killing 11 people and wounding more than 50. Access to Starshield – the military version of SpaceX’s Starlink internet – has been stabilized for Ukrainian forces following sudden disruptions. Unannounced speed caps overnight into Wednesday choked off connections for high-speed drones, hindering critical missions and sparking outrage in Kyiv. Ukrainian forces on Thursday confirmed strikes against six Su-34M fighter jets in Russia’s Voronezh region. President Zelenskyy says that the aircraft were equipped with aerial bombs intended for use against Ukraine.
To discuss this and more, Ukraine Brief host Benjamin Lee is joined by Oleksiy Melnyk, a Military Expert at the Razumkov Center.
