UKRAINE STRIKES MAJOR RUSSIAN EXPORT HUB
Two people are dead and 20 others have been wounded following Russian shelling in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk. Meanwhile, Ukraine launched a drone attack on Russia’s Moscow and Leningrad regions overnight into Friday, sparking a fire at the Baltic Sea port Ust-Luga, the country’s major energy export hub.
DRONE BREACHES LATVIAN AIRSPACE
Fighter jets on a NATO air defense mission have shot down a drone that entered Latvia’s airspace early Friday. It comes as fellow Baltic states and other NATO members, including Poland, have reported a rise in similar incidents.
POLAND REACHES DEAL WITH STARLINK
Turns out that Poland is finally back in Europe again – at least according to Starlink metrics. According to Poland’s digital affairs minister Krzysztof Gawkowski, an agreement was reached with the American company, settling the dispute over roaming rates for its satellite internet service.
