Britain said it will expand military support to defend Saudi Arabia against attacks by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels, vowing to send Royal Air Force Typhoon jets.

In a post on X, Defense Secretary Wes Streeting said:

“The Houthi attacks on our ally Saudi Arabia are absolutely despicable and dangerous for the region.

Today I have approved further UK military support. RAF Typhoons will fly defensive air missions to protect Saudi airspace from drones and missiles.”
