Uganda set for oil production

Uganda is moving closer to becoming an oil-producing nation, with commercial production expected to begin next year (2027).

But a new World Bank report says the country’s biggest opportunity lies not only in future oil revenues but also in the reforms needed to translate economic growth into jobs and lasting development.
