U.S. Walks Into Iran’s Trap? IRGC Quietly Rebuilds Missile, Drone Arsenal For War During MoU Period
Iran allegedly used a 60-day memorandum of understanding with the United States to prepare for a wider war instead of pursuing de-escalation, according to the Wall Street Journal. Tehran reportedly rebuilt damaged military infrastructure, restored missile-base access and coordinated with allied groups in Yemen, Iraq and Lebanon while preserving capabilities against US forces, shipping and Gulf energy infrastructure. With negotiations stalled and the MoU nearing expiry, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Tehran has not decided whether to resume talks. Meanwhile, Qatar and Pakistan are mediating, while Oman discusses Strait of Hormuz shipping arrangements, as Trump makes a dramatic claim over the waterway.
