Trump’s Board of Peace pledges $17 billion for Gaza
U.S. President Donald Trump announced at the first meeting of his Board of Peace that nations have pledged seven billion dollars to a Gaza reconstruction fund aimed at rebuilding the enclave.
The gathering, which took place in Washington on Thursday, brought together world leaders and senior officials from the Middle East and Asia.
The purpose was to advance Trump’s plan for stabilising Gaza following last October’s ceasefire, showcasing progress towards, what he calls, a lasting settlement.
