Trump Tower Gold Coast project scrapped | 7NEWS


A proposed $1.5 billion Trump Tower development on the Gold Coast has been abandoned after the Trump company split from the Australian developer just three months after signing the deal at Mar-a-Lago. The 91-storey project, which would have been Australia’s tallest skyscraper, never reached the development application stage. Separately, Florida’s controversial ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ migrant detention facility is closing after less than a year of operation, having cost the state nearly $1 billion to run.
