Trump “not sure” about the Patriots’ licensing as Russia tests NATO | Ukraine This Week
Ukraine has made some diplomatic progress in Washington, but key decisions remain uncertain, including whether the U.S. will grant Kyiv a license to produce Patriot PAC-2 and PAC-3 interceptor missiles.
Despite the positive optics of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s meeting with President Donald Trump, the Financial Times reports that Trump has not yet decided whether to approve the agreement. The U.S. Senate has also advanced a bipartisan sanctions package targeting Russia and Iran, though its impact will depend on how the Trump administration implements the measures.
Ukraine’s long-range strikes on Russian infrastructure aim to increase pressure on Moscow while avoiding major civilian casualties, but a public uprising against Vladimir Putin remains unlikely.
