Trump blasts ‘horrible’ reporter amid Vivek Ramaswamy ad and Amy Acton stepfather’s arrest question
President Donald Trump continued his defense of Vivek Ramaswamy ad featuring Amy Acton’s mother, nearly 50 years after Acton became estranged from her.
Acton’s relationship with her mother, Donna Arthur, changed when her stepfather, Cledith Arthur was arrested on charges of raping Acton, who was 12-years-old at the time. Acton’s stepdad was never convicted because he fled the state with his wife, meaning the couple lost lost custody of the children.
On Friday, Trump blasted a reporter questioning his stance on the campaign ad amid that background, calling them a “horrible, little reporter.” As the reporter persisted while Trump claimed Acton was a liar, the president them to be “quiet,” too.
