Transformer Oil | Public Health risks, Prevention and Toxicity: Mamogala Musekene
The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment has urged the public to stop using transformer oil to treat health conditions. The Department has warned against this practice, reiterating that transformer oil is not meant for human application. Transformer oil is an industrial substance used in electrical equipment, and in many cases, may contain toxic chemicals known as Polychlorinated Biphenyls which are classified as forever chemicals.
