Three men catch four-year-old #falling from #balcony with blanket
A split-second rescue saved a four-year-old girl after she plunged from a fifth-floor balcony in Poland.
The child was seen clinging to the balcony in Łomża when three men rushed below and stretched out a blanket moments before she fell.
Their quick response cushioned the fall, and the girl escaped with only minor bruises before being taken to a hospital for observation.
Police said her mother was asleep inside the apartment at the time and was later found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.7 per mille.
Authorities are investigating the case. If the mother is charged with putting the child at risk of death or serious injury, she could face up to five years in prison.
