Threat of West Bank offensive after two IDF soldiers killed | Gunmen kill seven at Jordan church.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened a large-scale military offensive in the occupied West Bank after Palestinian gunmen killed two IDF soldiers.
Israel’s security forces have cordoned off the city of Hebron, home to 200- thousand residents, and nearby Halhul in an operation expected to last several days.
The raids come just days out from the country’s election, in which security has been a key focus, with the PM campaigning on promises to keep Israelis safe.
