Since its establishment in 1992, GALERI PETRONAS has supported contemporary art and nurtured emerging artistic talent in Malaysia.
Its first director, Zainol Abidin Bin Abdul Sharif (Zabas), former curator Badrolhisham Mohamad Tahir, and featured artists Awang Damit Ahmad and Bibi Chew reflect on the gallery’s beginnings and the lasting impact it has had on their lives and artistic journeys.
