‘The dog that hasn’t barked’: Iran’s Artesh could change the game in Middle East showdown
Republican strategist John Jordan warns that Iran’s next moves will be determined by internal dynamics.
“They have been pretty quiet; they have a decision to make. This is all going to be decided … based on internal Iranian politics,” Mr Jordan told Sky News Australia.
“The group that I would be paying attention to right now is the regular military, the Artesh.
“They are not part of the IRGC, and they outnumber the IRGC by about two and a half to one.
“They are the dog that, to yet, hasn’t barked.”
