The AFL has big plans post Hollands findings… are they the right ones?


Carlton has begrudgingly accepted the $75k fine handed down by the AFL over the Elijah Hollands incident, but the industry is now grappling with what comes next. The AFL has a raft of mental health actions planned, including  full-time psychologists and a ‘fit to play framework’. But a former club psychologist has described one initiative as ‘box ticking’ and raised concerns about others. The AFL has big plans on mental health, but are they the right ones?
