Suspended EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi appeared alongside FOUR co-accused in Brakpan Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, facing murder charges linked to the 2022 killing of Boksburg businessman Emmanuel Mbense. This is Mkhwanazi’s FOURTH criminal case in just 8 months, following previous arrests for fraud, corruption and robbery. The five suspects, including EMPD officers, SAPS members and a civilian, are accused of involvement in Mbense’s alleged kidnapping, torture and murder.
