Storm cuts off hundreds in Langkloof and Little Karoo
Hundreds of people in the Langkloof and Little Karoo regions of the Western Cape remain completely cut off due to inaccessible roads.
This, after a Level 8 storm earlier this week that brought torrential rain, flooding, and gale-force winds, cutting off roads and damaging critical infrastructure.
Government has formally recognised the severity of weather conditions in several provinces.
The Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Department has classified the conditions in six provinces as a national disaster.
