Starmer issues public warning over Labour infighting as pressure grows on his leadership

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to face a difficult week politically, which could prove significant for his time at 10 Downing Street.

If this week’s local elections result in a substantial decline in Labour’s support, it could increase pressure on his leadership.

Ahead of the results, the British leader has issued a public warning to his party, calling for an end to internal divisions.

SNP Westminster Leader Stephen Flynn commented on the situation.

“Keir Starmer is not going to be in office come the end of next week, or maybe he might survive for a few weeks after,” Mr Flynn said.

“There’s going to be a constitutional shock.”
