“Sorry mummy, main aise ja rahi hoon…”
A heartbreaking video recorded by Dehradun government teacher Srishti Kandhari before her alleged suicide has gone viral. In the emotional clip, she apologises to her mother and says, “I have been enduring this for six months… Now I can’t endure it anymore,” while alleging that she was repeatedly called “manhoos” (unlucky) after her marriage.
Her mother has accused Kandhari’s husband and in-laws of mentally and physically harassing her over dowry. Police are investigating the allegations.
