Somerville’s What the Fluff? fest drew thousands to Union Square for marshmallowy fun.
A Somerville tradition that needs little introduction, the What the Fluff? fest brought thousands of sweet-toothed attendees to an even larger section of Union Square this weekend.
Saturday marked 21 years of marshmallowy madness, drawing attendees from miles away and as nearby as around the corner. Some had been attending for their entire lives.
A tribute to Union Square’s legacy of innovation, the fest centers around Marshmallow Fluff, which was invented in Somerville in 1917.
