Sol Plaatje Municipality fiasco continues
Some political parties in Northern Cape have rejected the decision by MEC of Human Settlement and Cooperative Governance, Bentley Vass to put Sol Plaatje Municipality in Kimberley under administration.
MEC Vass placed the municipality under administration on Monday, following months of instability, court battles and pending disciplinary action against municipal manager, Thapelo Matlala, who is accused of corruption.
The administration team will be at the municipality until the November local government elections.
