Shortage of affordable homes in the Western Cape


A new provincial housing market study has found a severe shortage of affordable homes across the Western Cape.

Properties below R900 000 are becoming increasingly scarce.

This has prompted urgent calls to increase the affordable housing income threshold to
R38 000 to unlock opportunities for waiting families.
