Massive protests at Place du Trocadero in Paris on Friday to honour Iranian and Lebanese citizens killed in US and Israeli attacks since the war began in February. Footage shows organisers with pictures of schoolgirls killed in the alleged US airstrike on a school on February 28, 2026. “This vigil is for the children who were bombed at the school in Minab on the first day of this unjust and inhumane war,” said the vigil organiser, Fatemeh. Protesters urged the French government to condemn the US and Israel over the war in the Middle East and say they should stop providing support for the strikes. “This is a historic war because it is the first time in history—for at least 100 years—that an Eastern country, in this case Iran, and Lebanon, have managed to stand up to American and Israeli arrogance,” demonstrator Adnan Azzam said.
On the first day of the war, US Tomahawk missiles struck a school in southern Iran, killing 170 people, mostly schoolgirls.
