Sen. Bernie Moreno calls on Rep. Max Miller to resign after abuse allegations

Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) is calling on Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) to resign after abuse allegations surfaced involving Miller’s ex-wife, who is also Moreno’s daughter.

The allegations come as Miller seeks reelection and faces mounting political pressure despite President Donald Trump’s endorsement.

LiveNOW’s Andy Mac spoke about the allegations, and what both lawmakers are saying, with Wall Street Journal White House correspondent Natalie Andrews.

MORE DETAILS:
Moreno’s daughter Emily was married to Miller until the pair divorced in 2025.

Emily Moreno has accused Miller of boiling her with hot water and physically abusing her and their young daughter.

Miller, who is seeking reelection in northeast Ohio this November, faces a Wednesday deadline for Republicans to replace him on the ballot.

Despite receiving President Trump’s endorsement, he is under growing political pressure as Democrats see an opportunity to compete for the seat.

Miller began his political career as a White House adviser during President Donald Trump’s first term and has represented Ohio in Congress since 2023.
