Scheduling of witnesses for the Ad Hoc Committee and Madlanga Commission will be key: Andy Mashaile

The Ad Hoc Committee investigating threats to South Africa’s national security is gearing up for a pivotal moment. Among the first witnesses expected to appear before the committee are Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola, Acting Police Minister Professor Firoz Cachalia, former Police Minister Bheki Cele, and Senzo Mchunu, currently on special leave alongside deputy ministers from the security cluster.

This high-stakes inquiry follows explosive claims made in July by KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, who alleged deep-rooted corruption within the criminal justice system.

Joining us for a discussion on the ad hoc committee’s progress meeting this afternoon is Andy Mashaile, Independent Security Strategist.
