Sanrio scraps Vivant collab over China backlash
Japanese character company Sanrio has suspended current and future collaborations with the television drama Vivant after strong public criticism in China. The series, which follows a fictional secret intelligence unit in Japan, had scenes in its second season depicting a Chinese-linked intelligence agency torturing Japanese operatives.
