*Cosatu President Zingiswa Losi delivered a message of hope to workers as the labour federation declares war against high unemployment and the rising cost of living.
Speaking at the national Workers’ Day rally, Losi called for unemployment to be declared a national emergency to protect the livelihoods of the working class.

*The Minister of Social Development Sisisi Tolashe says former spokesperson Lumka Oliphant has embarked on a campaign of misinformation, making unsubstantiated and misleading claims against her.
Tolashe has described Oliphant as a disgruntled former official who is diverting the attention from the real reasons for her dismissal and sowing confusion in the public domain.

*The United States is withdrawing 5 000 troops from NATO ally Germany, the Pentagon announced yesterday, as a rift over the Iran war widens between President Donald Trump and Europe.

*The stage is set as T.S Galaxy, take on Durban City in the final of Nedbank Cup in Polokwane this evening.
