Russian training exercise goes wrong
A video is going viral on social media showing a Russian mobile fire group training exercise going horribly wrong.
The unit mounted a YakB-12.7 rotary machine gun, originally designed for the Mi-24 attack helicopter, onto a ground vehicle.
The problem? This weapon generates a violent rotational recoil when fired, something that an airborne mount absorbs. On the ground, with no such system in place, the results are exactly what you’d expect.
