Russian businesses are begging Putin to listen | Break the Fake
Russia’s economic problems are increasingly affecting the country’s largest businesses. Following repeated strikes on Wildberries logistics facilities, sellers operating on the Russian marketplace have publicly warned that thousands of entrepreneurs could face bankruptcy, arguing that the resulting losses may also deprive the Russian state of billions in tax revenue. According to estimates cited by Russian sources, damage caused by the destruction of warehouses and stored goods has reached billions of dollars, putting significant pressure on one of Russia’s largest online marketplaces. At the same time, Kremlin officials continue to insist that military objectives remain the country’s top priority, despite mounting economic costs.
